Boeing 717

The Boeing 717 was first designed and created by McDonell Douglas as the MD-95. When Boeing and McDonell Douglas merged in 1997, it then became the famous Boeing 717. Many people thought that the 717 had been skipped, after the 727 following the 707. 2006 was the year of the last deliveries made to Midwest Airlines and AirTran Airways. The Boeing company had only made 156 of the aircraft, but it still marked the end of a era for the 717.
