The Airbus A330 is a medium - long range aircraft, with the ability to carry 335 passengers over a long distance, there is no wonder why this aircraft is so widely used by airlines. More than 800 of these aircraft have been built since it's first commercial flight in 1994.

Developed simultaneously with the Airbus A430, the A330 was launched on June 5, 1987. It made its first flight with GE CF6-80 engines on November 2, 1992. The Rolls Royce engines (trent 700) followed 2 years later on January 31, 1994. It first entered service with Air Inter in 1994.
