Royal Australian Air Force

Bell

The Royal Australian Air Force has a long and vivid history. Formed in March 1921, the air force has gone through some radical changes throughout the years. It deviated from the Australian Flying corps (AFC) similarly as the RAF deviated from the Royal Flying Corps (RFC). In fact both the RAAF and the RAF have a lot in common with each other due to the commonwealth. They share the same motto which is "Per Ardua Ad Astra" which means "Through Adversity to the Stars"
